The ultimate 5-minute makeup routine for busy mornings

Mornings can be hectic for most of us, but they’re especially challenging for working mums and professionals trying to navigate traffic and get to work on time. Despite the rush, we still want to look our best. That’s why I’ve put together this quick and easy five-minute makeup routine to help you achieve a polished look without the stress.

Step 1: Quick and easy foundation application

The best way to apply your favourite foundation or skin tint when you’re in a hurry is to dot it onto your face and blend it out using your fingertips. This method works well with all types of foundation, from lightweight to full coverage. Don’t overthink it-simply massage it into your skin with your fingers for a seamless, natural finish.

Step 2: Conceal and correct (Optional)

If you need to conceal dark circles or cover acne scars, use a small amount of colour corrector suited to your skin tone:

Fair skin:  Pink or light peach corrector

Medium skin: Peach to light orange corrector

Dark skin: Orange to deep orange corrector

Mix the corrector with a dot of concealer or foundation in a 1:1 ratio. Then, using your index finger, gently pat the mixture under your eyes or on any dark spots for a flawless blend.

Step 3: Powder

If you have oily skin, set your under-eyes, eyelids, and T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) with a setting powder or translucent powder to control shine throughout the day.

Step 4: Blush

Apply a touch of blush to your cheeks for a fresh, youthful glow. Your blush can also double as a lip tint-just dab a bit onto your lips and blend for a natural, cohesive look.

Step 5: Define and lift with mascara

Finish off your look with a coat (or two) of mascara to define your lashes and make your eyes pop. This simple step instantly makes you look more awake and put together.

And there you have it! A quick, foolproof makeup routine that ensures you look polished and confident, no matter how busy your morning is. Fall in love with your beauty with this effortless routine!
